Donkey opened in Aug 2018 and is located inside a glorious Victorian red-brick building. and offers fried chicken and other southern delights all beautifully executed using as much local and sustainable produce as possible.
It has a great vibe and has quickly become a Macedon Ranges institution. The decor and playlist reflects the owners’ love of music and Americana.
In addition to chicken, Donkey offers a range of menu staples; sliders and burgers along with fantastic vegetarian options and fantastic weekly specials.
To drink? You can pair your meal with an ever changing tap beer selection. Plus plenty of interesting beers in cans and bottles.
The wine list is reasonably priced with a nice selection of locals and internationals.
And of course there are plenty of individual cocktails including our FAMOUS margaritas…plus a great selection of tequila and mezcal.
